you are looking at an auction for a Pro-Tec "VIGILANTE" Snowboard /Ski helmet.

This helmet comes complete with the Plantronics "AUDIOFORCE" ear pads for music on the move.

Although this helmet is listed as used it is in brand new condition, I can honestly say i have used this helmet twice, on a dry slope only, it has never been dropped and never had a knock, the only reason for selling is that I have been bought a brand new helmet for my bithday recently.

An ideal helmet for snowboarders and skiers alike, this is the helmet of choice for Andreas Wiig, pro boarder and forum team pro, of course he got his for free from Giro, we mere mortals have to pay for ours. this helmet retails around the £80 mark new, here on E-bay and other internet sellers.

The Vigilante helmet delivers low profile style, combined with a tough fabric covered polycarbonate shell. There are 15 air vents (photo 4) to give you total control over how much air flow you want at any time, the vent plugs can be removed or re-inserted in groups of three at the left or right and five in the center (photo5) .

The Audioforce ear pads are what really give this helmet it's great versatility, they deliver crystal clear stereo sound from your i-pod/mp3 player, direct to your ears. The controls are built into the pads themselves and are really easy to use, with or without gloves on, the LEFT earpad has a switch control mute button for an instant sound cut off and the RIGHT earpad controls the volume with a chunky roller style control. The cable that connects your player to the helmet is another break through design, with a standard 3.5mm jack at the player end and a "TWIST & LOCK" system at the helmet end, this means that no matter how hard you go, your cable wont fall out, as far as helmet sound systems go it does not get any easier than this, no more fiddiling with your i-pod while on the slopes.

This helmet is a size Small or Small/Medium, fitting a head of about 52 - 56.5cm, the main colour is Black with a Silver pinstripe detailing, there is a Goggle strap at the back and a fully adjustable chin strap. The Audio earpads are fully removable (photo3) for those days when you dont want music and the helmet looks just as good with them (photo1) or without (photo2) .
